Vertical Farming World Congress Virtual Event

The First Vertical Farming World Congress takes place online next month.

The event features networking sessions, and virtual farm tours, as well as sessions from vertical farm businesses around the world. Innovate UK’s Ian Cox will discuss the ‘Market Promise for Agritech’, and there will also be presentations from CHAP members LettUs Grow and GE Current.

Over the past few years, there has been significant investment in in vertical farming across North America, Europe, the Middle East, Japan and beyond. While still a relative newcomer, the sector has huge potential for growth, but there are still questions to be considered such as how it fits with traditional agriculture. There are also a range of different technologies vying for position and plenty of discussion on the variety of crops with practical considerations such as height having to be considered alongside commercial potential.

The Vertical Farming World Congress brings together experts from vertical farming operators, investors, suppliers and experts all aiming to advance the sector. They will cover a range of subjects, with talks covering aeroponics, aquaponics and hydroponics, plus sessions on plant growth, lighting know-how and robotics.

The Vertical Farming World Congress runs from 22nd to 24th September. To book, go to World Congress
