Tesco Agri T-Jam and World Agri-Tech Pitch Day 2021

World Agri-Tech Innovation Summit is joining CHAP partner Tesco for year four of the Tesco Agri T-Jam and World Agri-Tech Pitch Day.

The aim is to give early-stage agri-tech innovators the opportunity to work with the UK’s leading food retailer and its supply chain partners. CHAP member Fotenix was one of the finalists in last year’s competition, could that be your company this year?

Entries are now open for seed and early-stage companies to submit details of their technology and business overview, but make sure you submit your entry before the closing date on 10th June.

Tesco are looking for technologies that address one or more of the following priority areas:

  • Reducing environmental footprint and GHG emissions
  • Predictive farming
  • Crop specific solutions, shelf life and storage
  • Improving soil health and resilience
  • Water quality analysis and irrigation
  • Robotics, automation and sensor technology
  • Monitoring and supporting biodiversity
  • Livestock: animal health and welfare
  • Supply chain efficiency and waste reduction
  • Indoor and vertical farming
  • Remote operations – automation, farm management, worker safety

After a first round review, shortlisted start-ups will be contacted for more details and invited to submit a short pitch video and 10 finalists will be invited as guests to network at the World Agri-Tech Innovation Summit on 28th-29th September.

The final presentations will take place virtually on Monday 18th October with the judging committee, supply chain partners and Tesco colleagues. This will be followed by a public showcase webinar to a global audience, and the announcement of the 2021 winner.

At least one finalist will receive fast-track introductions and mentoring by the Tesco agriculture team and its supplier network, with potential to trial their solution (subject to assessment).

For more information, and to submit an entry, go to Agri T-Jam 2021.
