Book now for Eagle Labs’ AgriTech Awareness Week

The Eagle Labs team is hosting AgriTech Awareness Week to highlight the importance of innovation and collaboration in the Agricultural sector across the UK.

AgriTech Awareness Week, which runs from 1st to 3rd June, has been designed to build on the launch of the Eagle Labs AgriTech programme and Eagle Labs Farm in Lincoln last year.

The event will focus on collaboration in the sector. The aim is to showcase how far the support for the sustainability of the sector has come in the last 12 months, and to look at what is on the horizon.

The morning session on June 1st will be given over to the four Agri-Tech Centres of Innovation: CHAP, CIEL, Agrimetrics and Agri-EPI Centre. Speakers from each centre will give updates on their work over the past year and explain how each centre is providing much-needed support for agri-tech start-ups. This will be followed in the afternoon by speakers from Agri-TechE, Farm 491 and NIAB’s Barn 4, again focusing on collaboration and support.

Day 2 will be devoted to the work being done by the Eagle Labs team and the farm at Lincoln University, while the third and final day will assess the work being done to close the gap between scientific research on innovation and real-life farming experience. Speakers will be from The Centre for Effective Innovation in Agriculture (CEIA), and the Digital Farming Network, which is creating a community of practice for UK farmers to receive support with access, adoption and use of the agri-tech innovations.

The Eagle Labs AgriTech Programme aims to showcase innovations that have been created for, or can be applied to, the agricultural industry, with a view to supporting UK agriculture and the food supply chain, to help it to become the most digital-savvy farm force globally.
