Farmers Club Educator Award

We are delighted to announce that our International Business Development Manager, Dr Jenna Ross, has been awarded the prestigious Farmers Club Educator Award 2020.

This will see Jenna travel to North and South America in 2021/22 to investigate the challenges facing global agriculture, understand the development and adoption of AgriTech innovation, and investigate the use of collaborative innovation networks. Jenna will also be attending the World Agri-Tech Innovation Summit and the World Agri-Tech South America Summit. Outputs of the award will then be disseminated to the CHAP network, and wider industry, in order to help drive innovation for UK agriculture.

Jenna is no stranger to international travel, having lived and worked in South Africa, Tanzania, Angola, US and Norway, and also completed a Nuffield Farming Scholarship in 2018/19. Jenna said “I learnt so many valuable lessons during my Nuffield Farming studies, which subsequently led to 2 Innovate UK projects. The Farmers Club Educator award is an opportunity to build on the research skills that I obtained during my Nuffield travels, and translate these to other areas of UK agriculture.”

The Farmers Club Educator Awards are specifically designed to help those employed in agriculture to widen and develop their own technical expertise through travel, with a specific focus on how science and technology can contribute to the sustainability and profitability of UK agriculture.
