CHAP appoints new Head of Marketing and Communications

CHAP is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr Rosie Bryson as Head of Marketing and Communications.

In her new role, Dr Bryson will lead the development and implementation of the marketing and communications strategy for CHAP. Her focus will be on driving impactful dissemination and facilitating knowledge exchange activities for the numerous innovative projects and events in which CHAP is actively engaged.

 

Rosie is a plant pathologist by background with more than 25 years’ experience in the agricultural industry. She has held technical, marketing and leadership positions in both public and private sector organisations. She holds a degree in applied biology, specialised in crop protection from the University of Bath and a PhD in fungal genetics from the University of Birmingham.

 

More recently, Dr Bryson worked for BASF in Germany as the Head of Technical Project Management Europe and was part of the European Marketing leadership team. Her role was to support the development and technical marketing of crop protection solutions to the European market, she was also a technical expert in fungicide resistance.

 

Dr Bryson added: “I am delighted to be working for CHAP and am really looking forward to leading the Marcomms team to ensure industry and stakeholder engagement in Agri-Tech Innovations.”

 

Alongside her scientific career, Rosie is committed to raising awareness about the industry’s significance and value to society, while ensuring a sustainable supply of safe and nutritious food for the future. In addition, in her role as Chair of the Institute on Innovation and Knowledge Exchange she supports the accreditation of organisations for the “Investors in Innovation” programme and Further Education colleges and partnerships to achieved “STEM Assured” status.
