Sign up for our inaugural CSFB Biopesticide workshop

CHAP is hosting a stakeholder workshop entitled ‘Developing a Biopesticide for Cabbage Stem Flea Beetle Control’ on Tuesday 24th November, from 10am to 11.30am GMT.

This workshop is the first phase of an exciting new project funded by Innovate UK, which was announced in October. It is free to attend and open to stakeholders with an interest in oilseed rape.

The project aims to develop a biopesticide for Cabbage Stem Flea Beetle, a much-needed alternative to the now-banned neonicotinoid insecticides, especially in the light of increasing resistance to Pyrethroids. It is a collaboration between CHAP, CAB International (CABI) and Russell Bio Solutions Ltd,  along with input from H&T Bioseed.

The focus on end-user engagement is key to the project, and as such we will be holding the first knowledge exchange workshop this month, focused on the aims and objectives of the project, and gathering industry feedback to ensure the project is aligned to market needs.

We are looking for a wide range of stakeholders to attend, providing valuable feedback for the project, and contributing to the development of a biopesticide with the potential to control CSFB.

If you would like to attend the workshop or would like further information please contact the project lead, Richard Glass by emailing enquiries@chap-solutions.co.uk.
