CHAP is being joined by experts from ADAS and Harvest Agronomy Ltd to present its latest lunchtime webinar: Managing pesticide resistance in potato crops – a focus on digital tools.
This free 60-minute online event, which will run from 12 noon on 16th February, is designed to showcase the new digital tools impacting pesticide usage across the potato production sector. It will be of interest to UK potato growers, agronomists and anyone involved or with an interest in the potato growing sector.
It includes sessions on the risk of disease for the UK potato industry in 2021, how government funding is supporting UK potato growers and how CHAP’s CropMonitor Pro decision support tool can help growers streamline pesticide costs next year.
Faye Richie, Associate Director – Disease & Pest Management at ADAS will begin the proceedings by providing an overview of the challenges facing the potato industry, including the rise of pesticide resistance.
This will be followed by Chris Delf, CHAP’s Business Development Manager and our in-house agronomy expert, who will showcase CropMonitor Pro, a field-level enhancement to DEFRA’s Crop Monitor.
Finally, Mark Taplin, Agronomist at Harvest Agronomy Ltd will share his own experience and explain how CropMonitor Pro can benefit the industry. There will also be an opportunity for participants to quiz the speakers about their work.
