The training is aimed at farmers, policy makers, agri-tech/food-tech investors and anyone involved in the food supply chain.
The courses will be held once a month and all participants will receive free access to a relevant online course with potential to gain a certificate, if successful in the assessment.
Key topics covered include sustainable food production, food security and safety, nutrition, consumer behaviour and dietary choice and life-cycle analysis and continuous improvement.
At the end of the training, participants will be better informed about the impact of different foodstuffs, and of food-waste, on the climate, and the urgent need to monitor and eliminate food waste at all stages along the food supply chain. They will have wider understanding of the challenges with food handling from farm to fork and of the impact of different farming systems on climate change. The course will also advise on advances in technology that could aid sustainable farming and make improvements in the supply chain.
The Intellidigest capacity building training sessions will be held once in a month and all participants will receive free access to a relevant online course with potential to gain a certificate, if successful in the assessment.
