CHAP links with stakeholders through Digital Agronomy workshop

CHAP’s Innovation Team has been undertaking a period of stakeholder engagement within the agronomy sector and across relevant parties, to underpin collaborative innovation in digital agronomy, understand critical emerging challenges for farmers and growers, and develop a business case for CHAP to deliver solutions that support the sector in this area.

This period of engagement culminated in our second Digital Agronomy workshop in Leeds, on November 12th.

With reference to sectoral challenges, such as building soil health, integrating biological pest management solutions, and growing without glyphosate, CHAPs innovation team and a broad and representative group of stakeholders worked together to profile options that CHAP could deliver collaboratively with the sector.

The selected options were then developed to make sure they delivered on a critical problem, namely the lack of across-the-board adoption of holistic, data-driven decision support in crop management in the farming sector.

These developed options will form the basis for a business case for CHAP and the sector, to be developed over the coming months.
