University of Warwick Industry Day

Keynote speaker Rachel Bishop, Head of Circular Economy at Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) highlighted the funding available for individual projects. She also drew attention to the recently published call for proposals to be the Interdisciplinary Circular Economy Coordinator, which should engage with the full spectrum of interdisciplinary research and stakeholder communities and design a proposal for an Interdisciplinary Circular Economy Hub.

The day included presentations on innovative research at the university and tours of research facilities such as the Warwick Manufacturing Group (WMG) Energy Innovation Centre.

Discussion groups prepared a range of ideas related to topics such as “Sustainable Chemistry” and “Sustainable Food, Energy and Water.
