Farm 491, the AgriTech incubator based at the Royal Agricultural University in Cirencester, has a range of events exploring the future of British Farming and these will now become virtual events to comply with the UK’s Covid-19 social distancing measures.
Next month it is hosting Developing a Lean Business Plan as an AgriTech Entrepreneur, which will be split into two sessions on 25th and 26th June from 9am to 1pm each day.
With markets evolving fast and customer expectations constantly changing, it is important for businesses to learn to fail fast to get the right result. These sessions will look into why business models and lean business plans are required.
The first session will explore customer segments, adding value to them, and testing the market fit. Participants will use tools such as the Customer Value Proposition and the Business Model Canvas.
The second session will focus on developing a lean business plan as well as developing strategies in relation to your mission, vision and values. Phil Mitchell, director at Harbour Key Ltd, will also provide an insight into finance fundamentals.
Although each session is 4 hours, there will be plenty of breaks and interactive sessions. The group size will be small to ensure every participant will receive bespoke support.
Participants will also be offered a follow-up session to look into other useful materials such as one-page business plans and pitch decks.
Please note that these webinars are only open to UK registered AgriTech/Agrifood companies as they are funded by the European Regional Development Fund. And attendees will be asked to confirm this in writing before taking part in the webinar. As places are limited, Farm 491 asks people to sign-up only if they will definitely be available to take part on both days.
