As a prelude to the UK-Africa Investment Summit taking place in January 2020, the Agri-Business Partnership Forum took place on the 4th December in London.
The event was well attended by UK and African organisations and highlighted the opportunities for investment in Africa for UK companies and the potential sources of funding. There was a focus on the UK research and technical capabilities, which included a presentation by Richard Glass of CHAP with details of an Agri-Tech Catalyst Round 8 project which started in November 2019 to develop an in-field sensor for potato cyst nematode in Kenya with PES Technologies and icipe (International Centre of Insect Physiology and Ecology).
