CHAP Workshop: high-performance insulation system to cut greenhouse energy use (online)

Thursday 17th June 2021

Event Info

Share your views and be the first to hear about a groundbreaking energy-saving insulation system at this interactive online workshop.

CHAP and Envirup Ltd have partnered on a feasibility project to demonstrate the potential of an innovative insulation greenhouse wall system to passively improve the energy efficiency and carbon footprint, as well as extend the fresh produce growing season, of large commercial greenhouses.

Together with collaborators Paola Reyes (BECCI; University of Wolverhampton), Cambridge HOK, Boomer Industries and Stockbridge Technology Centre (STC), the consortium, funded by Innovate UK’s ‘Sustainable Innovation Fund’, aimed to evaluate the potential of the Envirup Insulation System to reduce the energy demand and costs of greenhouses whilst improving their productivity and sustainability, supporting the sector in meeting its net-zero emissions targets.

Gaining industry feedback is crucial to ensure this product is aligned to market needs.

The project collaborators are holding an interactive workshop to introduce the Envirup Insulation System and discuss the results of a thermal model comparison with interested stakeholders in commercial greenhouses and protected crop production (growers; fresh produce supply chain; greenhouse designers).

You are invited to come and take part for a chance to be the first to hear about this innovative product and to share your thoughts and questions with the team.
